Sweet Pea is a small in-home nursery school that offers a gentle transition into mainstream school environments, preparing your child for their future education, friendships, and beyond. Our low ratio classroom allows us to meet your child where they are and provide a loving, structured environment to learn social and emotional confidence in a play-based  Montessori-inspired curriculum.  We pride ourselves on  accommodating each child’s  individual needs, interests, and learning pace. Sweet Pea was founded by Director/Owner and Lead Teacher Emily Cline (Emmy).  Her program sets your child up for a lifelong love of learning. 

Our program serves children ages 2.5-4 yrs: An exposure to a mixed age classroom builds self-assurance and leadership skills. Having all the children together in one classroom, we encourage children to share their own interests and gifts, and to work in diverse groups while learning from each other. Our program is centered around the whole child, as we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that each child feels seen, heard and valued. Social/emotional development and practical life skills are at the heart of our program.

Owner/Director Emily Cline has 20+ years of experience providing families an intimate and high-quality level of care. Her absolute passion is working with young children and she is certified in CPR, first aid and more. Since getting out of the Air Force Reserves in 2012, having acquired experience in the medical field, she has worked exclusively in childcare, supporting whole families in parenting and child wellness. She is trained as a birth Doula, and has run her early childhood development program since 2021. 

Our nursery school runs on a school year calendar and also offers care during summer months.
